Bitcoin Price Surge Triggers $6.3B Inflow into US Spot ETFs
Bitcoin's price surge in Q3 was matched by rising interest in US spot ETFs, which attracted $6.34 billion in net inflows. The quarter marked the funds' strongest performance this year, reversing about $5 billion in net outflows recorded in the second quarter.
The price of Bitcoin rose 42.71% in Q3, its best quarterly gain since Q4 2024 and strongest third-quarter performance since 2017, according to CoinGlass data. The funds closed September with $2.65 billion in net inflows, down around 25% from August's $3.52 billion.
US spot Ether ETFs also saw significant interest, attracting about $3.05 billion in Q3 after roughly $714 million in net outflows in the previous quarter. Ether itself gained about 71% during the quarter.
