Bitcoin Price Surges Amid $2 Billion ETF Inflows and Supply Shortage
Bitcoin's recent surge to $77,000 from $64,000 can be attributed in part to $2 billion worth of inflows into US spot-Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) over the last week. According to Eric Balchunas, a Bloomberg ETF analyst, this marks one of the largest weeks for Bitcoin ETF inflows since October 2025.
The rapid price increase is also being attributed to a persistent supply shortage in Bitcoin, which has limited its availability in the market. Balchunas notes that this supply structure has helped drive up demand and prices for the cryptocurrency.
