Bitcoin Price Surges to Nearly $80K Amid Aggressive Spot Buying
Bitcoin's price has surged to nearly $80,000, breaking decisively out of its prior range. According to Glassnode, this rally is supported by aggressive spot buying and expanding trading activity.
The report highlights that the deeper liquidity indicates 'meaningful capital deployment rather than thin-market price action.'
Price momentum rose 63.5% over the week to 82.5 from 50.5, above the upper statistical threshold of 65.9, signaling 'overheated price action and potential overbought conditions.'
Glassnode notes that spot demand skyrocketed, with spot Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) jumping 2,253.5% from negative $12.8 million to a positive $275.5 million.
The reversal reflected 'aggressive buying pressure across centralized venues', with the latest reading well above the upper statistical band of $58.9 million.
