Bitcoin Price Target: Can It Reach $400,000 by 2030?
Coinbase Global CEO Brian Armstrong believes Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) could reach $400,000 by the end of 2030. To achieve this target, the cryptocurrency will need to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 51% over the next four years.
This is not entirely out of the question, given Bitcoin's past performance. Over the past decade, it has delivered a CAGR of 33%. From August 2017 to July 2026, Bitcoin grew at a CAGR of 33.6%.
A more likely target might be $250,000, assuming a 34% CAGR, which is closer to Bitcoin's historical growth rate. Armstrong believes newfound regulatory clarity for the crypto industry and the mainstreaming of the 'Bitcoin is digital gold' investment thesis will drive growth.
