Bitcoin Price to Remain Near Current Levels Through Year-End: Bitget CEO
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen believes Bitcoin's price will remain around current levels through the end of the year, citing interest rates and broader macroeconomic conditions as key factors. In an interview on Cointelegraph's Trade Secrets podcast, Chen said that predicting whether Bitcoin will finish the year above or below $70,000 is difficult due to the possibility of higher interest rates.
Chen pointed out that Bitcoin has become increasingly integrated with traditional finance and is sensitive to broader macroeconomic conditions. As a result, she expects the price to be affected by these factors, potentially leading to a decrease in value.
When asked about the possibility of the US government purchasing Bitcoin for its national reserve before the end of President Donald Trump's term, Chen expressed skepticism. According to her, actively purchasing Bitcoin would require significant debate among lawmakers and political parties, making it unlikely within the next two years.
