Bitcoin's price prediction has weakened after the cryptocurrency failed to sustain its move above $81,000. According to CryptoRank, the rejection comes as derivatives positioning remains elevated, increasing the risk of sharper volatility around nearby technical levels.

The spot Bitcoin ETF inflows have extended to seven consecutive trading sessions, providing a counterweight to the bearish technical setup. The inflows totaled $314 million on August 25, according to SoSoValue data cited by Wu Blockchain.

CryptoQuant data showed that Bitcoin futures open interest reached $55.8 billion on August 26, with a substantial leveraged participation remaining active despite the pullback. The derivatives data also recorded roughly $325 million in Bitcoin liquidations during that period.
