Bitcoin Prices Soar as US Spot ETF Inflows Hit Record $1B
The Bitcoin (BTC) market saw significant buying activity recently, driven by increased inflows into US spot Bitcoin ETFs. Single-day inflows reached a record ~$1 billion, with total assets rising to about $110.1 billion in September alone.
This surge in demand has led to a corresponding increase in open interest for BTCUSD perpetual futures, which rose to around $160 billion, the highest since October 2025. Meanwhile, roughly $920 million of short positions were liquidated as prices jumped.
The spot Bitcoin market also saw increased activity, with flows hitting ~$999M on Monday, the largest daily inflow in about a year. IBIT led with ~$381M, followed by notable inflows from ARKB and FBTC.
