Bitcoin Proponents Fire Back at Calacanis' 'Dead Cat' Label
Jason Calacanis recently called Bitcoin a 'dead cat', bouncing between price dips. However, his statement was met with swift responses from Michael Saylor and Cathie Wood.
Calacanis' criticism of Bitcoin as a store of value, compared to CDs in the age of Spotify or DVDs in the age of Netflix, did not sit well with proponents of the cryptocurrency.
Saylor, CEO of Strategy, pointed out that Bitcoin has grown from $0.01 in 2009 to over $1 trillion today, making it the world's most valuable digital asset.
Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest, echoed Saylor's sentiment, stating that 'Bitcoin is not a dead cat, Jason! It has many lives ahead.'
