Bitcoin Rally Stalls at $82K Amid Saudi-Houthi Escalation
Bitcoin's recent rally near $82,000 came to an end as Middle East tensions resurfaced and a fresh technical sell signal appeared. The TD Sequential indicator shifted from a buy signal near $75,000 to a sell signal after BTC reached about $81,500.
The cryptocurrency pulled back after rebounding from roughly $75,000, its strongest level since early September. The rally had already absorbed two major setbacks earlier in the week, including the Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike by 25 basis points. Buyers pushed BTC back above $80,000 before the reversal.
The uncertainty arrived as Bitcoin tested an area that had already acted as resistance. The market was exposed to profit-taking after the rapid recovery, leaving the upper end of the range unresolved. Ali Martinez pointed out that the TD Sequential indicator does not establish a fall in price, but it adds a technical hurdle to the market.
