Bitcoin Rebounds Above $77,000 Amid Diverging ETF Flows
Bitcoin reclaimed the $77,000 mark on Thursday after spot bitcoin ETFs attracted roughly $159 million in net inflows. This is part of a month-long trend that has brought the category to nearly $2.5 billion in cumulative net inflows.
However, not all crypto assets fared as well. Ether funds posted about $39 million in net outflows, marking their third consecutive day of withdrawals. XRP products lost $5 million, and Zcash emerged as a standout performer, surging 10% to around $1,488 after its sole U.S. fund drew nearly $47 million.
The broader crypto market advanced alongside stocks and bonds after falling oil prices eased inflation concerns following the Federal Reserve's first rate hike since 2023. This macro signal has been driving major tokens throughout the week, with Bitcoin climbing back above $77,000 and ether gaining 2% over the same stretch to trade near $2,470.
The key question for the coming sessions is whether Zcash's ability to attract capital on days when bitcoin and ether funds are bleeding money represents a durable shift in investor preference or a temporary anomaly.
