Bitcoin Rebounds to $77,676 as Crypto Market Recovery Gains Momentum
Bitcoin has led the crypto market recovery with its market cap reaching $1.55 trillion. The cryptocurrency rebounded to $77,676 after a 22% rally over 14 days, outperforming Ethereum and XRP in terms of market resilience.
The two-week surge followed an announcement by the US Treasury that it would double long-end bond buybacks, forcing traders to liquidate around $3.3 billion in short positions across crypto derivatives. As a result, Ethereum climbed 29% to $2,440 during the same period, while XRP advanced 33% to $1.38.
Institutional demand continues to support Bitcoin's trading volumes, with US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recording $242.24 million in net inflows on August 27, marking an uninterrupted nine-day buying streak. Corporate buyers and sovereign holders such as El Salvador have expanded their balance sheet holdings, constraining circulating liquidity across primary exchanges.
XRP, however, relies on structural supply limits rather than spot ETF velocity. Network validators have staked nearly 47% of total circulating Ethereum, locking up volume as institutional asset managers test tokenized bonds and equities on the network.
