Bitcoin Reclaims $64K as Market Awaits FOMC Decision, 1inch Launches Aqua
Bitcoin (BTC) reclaimed $64,000 in value as the market waited for the outcome of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting. This price increase comes ahead of the FOMC's decision on a potential rate hike.
The total cryptocurrency market cap saw a 1% increase overnight to reach around $2.28 trillion, with daily trading volume sitting at $61.9 billion, down from yesterday's $66 billion.
Meanwhile, 1inch has launched Aqua, a new liquidity layer for decentralized finance (DeFi). This system allows liquidity providers to manage multiple trading positions using a single wallet balance without locking assets in liquidity pools.
Aqua operates on a registry-based model and enables tokens to be committed only when a trade is executed. This approach enhances capital efficiency and addresses the issue of idle liquidity, which can amount to significant amounts. For example, $100,000 in assets can support up to three separate positions with a total quoted liquidity of $300,000.
