Bitcoin Reclaims $85K as Alts Surge in Weekend Rally
Bitcoin has reclaimed the $85,000 mark after a weekend of volatility following the release of the US jobs report. On Friday, the price jumped past $87,000 for the first time in over a week, but crashed shortly after, dropping to under $84,000. The bulls intervened on Saturday, helping the price recover to $84,000, and on Sunday, it has increased slightly to over $85,000.
The larger-cap altcoins are also in the green, with most rising by 1-2%. Ethereum has challenged the $2,700 resistance, while XRP has reached $1.50. The top performers among the altcoins are RAIN and PUMP, which have gained 14% and 16% respectively.
The total crypto market cap has increased by approximately $30 billion daily and now sits at $2.910 trillion on CMC.
