Bitcoin Reclaims $87K, Eyes $100K Target Amid Strong Institutional Demand
Bitcoin has regained its footing above $87,000 and is once again pushing towards the psychologically important $100,000 level. Institutional inflows, corporate purchases, and an improving technical structure are supporting the cryptocurrency's recovery.
The latest rally coincided with gains in technology stocks, suggesting investors are becoming more willing to take on risk. Short covering may also have contributed to the advance as traders betting against Bitcoin closed their positions.
However, the sustainability of the rally will depend on continued demand and whether BTC can maintain its position above recent breakout levels.
The inflow of $714 million into US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds marked one of the strongest daily performances since October 2025. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust led the group with $350 million in net inflows, while Fidelity's Bitcoin ETF followed with $257 million.
Corporate demand remains strong, with Strategy purchasing another 950 BTC for $75.7 million during the previous week, lifting its total holdings to approximately 846,000 BTC.
