Bitcoin Retail Inflows to Gate Exchange Hit 2026 High Ahead of $80,000
Retail Bitcoin deposits to Gate exchange surged in August, reaching a 2026 high as the cryptocurrency climbed from around $64,000 toward $80,000. According to CryptoQuant data, hourly inflows reached $11.33 million on August 29, with over 11 notable spikes recorded between August 23 and August 30 across wallet sizes from 0.1 BTC to 10 BTC.
The flow pattern was broad-based across wallet sizes, suggesting the movement wasn't limited to holders shuffling trivial balances but extended into mid-sized positions that could represent accumulated gains from the rally.
CryptoQuant analyst Maartunn cautioned that deposits do not automatically equate to selling pressure, as Gate offers customers access to cryptocurrencies, stocks and commodities. 'The $11.33 million reading therefore measures potential selling capacity rather than confirmed sales,' he said.
