Bitcoin Retreats Amid US ETF Buying, Bitget Restores Withdrawals
Bitcoin's rebound attempt hit a snag as the cryptocurrency retreated towards $84,000 after reaching $87,220 on Oct. 2. According to Bitfinex analysts, sustained buying above $86,500 is crucial for Bitcoin to hold its ground, with 1.39 million BTC in the purchase range between $84,000 and $86,500 as of Sep. 30.
Meanwhile, Bitget has restored major-asset withdrawals after a $387.5 million breach on Sep. 24. The exchange's CEO, Gracy Chen, announced that its Protection Fund had returned above $300 million, with a reserve ratio of 131% across 19 covered assets.
Chainlink has also made headlines by announcing a framework connecting banks' existing systems to Swift's blockchain ledger. This initiative aims to provide banks with secure access to the shared ledger while maintaining control over their transaction-signing keys.
