Bitcoin Retreats as ETF Buying Returns, Bitget Restores Withdrawals
Bitcoin struggled to hold onto its gains as U.S. ETF buying returned, causing the price to retreat to around $84,000. Analysts at Bitfinex identified $86,500 as a key level for sustained spot buying, with 1.39 million BTC within the $84,000, $86,500 purchase range as of September 30.
Despite the setback, Bitget has restored major-asset withdrawals after its $387.5 million breach, with CEO Gracy Chen stating that the exchange's Protection Fund had returned above $300 million. The exchange's latest reserve snapshot showed a 131% ratio across 19 covered assets.
Chainlink has announced a connection framework that allows financial institutions to access Swift's blockchain ledger through their existing systems. This initiative involves tokenized deposits represented on a ledger, rather than a new public cryptocurrency available to retail buyers.
