Bitcoin Rises Above $80,000 as Analysts Predict New All-Time High
Bitcoin's price has been on an upward trend over the past two months, rising from below $60,000 in July to near $85,000 today. This reversal has led some analysts to predict that Bitcoin could reach its all-time high of $126,000 by the end of this year, with a new target of $100,000 being mentioned as a possible short-term goal.
The 4-year boom-and-bust cycle of Bitcoin is often cited as a key factor in understanding the cryptocurrency's price movements. According to this theory, three good years are followed by an epic collapse in year four, before the cycle begins anew and Bitcoin rises to another all-time high. If this cycle is still relevant, it may already have bottomed out, with some analysts suggesting that the 12-month anniversary of its previous peak on October 1 could mark a turning point.
Despite the current uncertainty surrounding the U.S. economy, including rising interest rates and debt levels, Bitcoin appears to be decoupling from other asset classes. Historically, the cryptocurrency has been uncorrelated with major assets, and some analysts believe that this independence could make it an attractive option for investors looking to move out of dollar-denominated assets.
