Bitcoin Rises Above $84k with Institutional and Corporate Support
Bitcoin has reclaimed the $84,000 mark after a modest decline on Monday, thanks to continued institutional fund flows and corporate buying.
The US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw net inflows of $31 million on Monday, marking the eighth consecutive trading day of positive flows. While this is a significant streak, the amount was relatively modest compared to the previous week's larger gains.
Corporate buying also continued, with Strategy disclosing that it acquired 1,665 BTC for approximately $142.7 million between September 21 and 27. This purchase raised its holdings to 847,666 BTC, making it the largest public corporate Bitcoin treasury by a wide margin.
The recovery follows a strong week for US spot Bitcoin ETFs, which drew approximately $2.4 billion during the week ending September 25 - their strongest weekly inflow since October 2025. However, holders are still realizing profits after the recent rally, creating a test of whether fresh demand can absorb that supply.
The next key level for Bitcoin is the $85,000 resistance, which it has yet to breach. If it closes above this level, it would strengthen the case for another advance. On the downside, the 50-day EMA near $77,586 is the first major moving-average support.
