Bitcoin Rises Amid AI Bubble Fears and Tech Rout
John Schindler, secretary general of the Financial Stability Board, is warning that the AI sector may be in a bubble. His comments come as US tech stocks have shed $658 billion in value this month alone, with AI stocks such as NVDA and Micron experiencing significant declines. Despite these losses, Bitcoin has risen 1.41% to trade at $64,370.
Schindler compared the current situation to the dotcom bubble, noting that investors are chasing 'the latest darling of the market.' He also mentioned the housing price bubble before the great financial crisis as a cautionary tale. The warning comes as Bitcoin miners shift from mining to AI infrastructure.
Bitcoin's price is currently trading within a rising triangle pattern on the four-hour chart, with a height of 12%. If it closes above the resistance at $64,600, the price could rise to $72,352. However, if buyers become hesitant again and move below the support at $63,000, the price could retest $60,000.
