Bitcoin Rises as ZEC Surges Past $1200, Crypto Market Closes Week Strong
The cryptocurrency market wrapped up its first week of September on a high note, defying initial mid-week volatility that threatened to drag its aggregate capitalization below $2.8 trillion.
Market data shows the week began just above $2.71 trillion before prices leveled off due to fluctuating values. However, a subsequent market-wide rally propelled total capitalization to a weekly peak of $2.82 trillion.
Despite a pullback following U.S. jobs data, the crypto market managed to hold onto a 2% weekly gain.
Bitcoin led the charge with its Thursday surge past $82,200, its highest level in over three months, propelling the aggregate market cap past $2.8 trillion.
