Bitcoin Rises to Highest Level Since January Amid Strong Demand and Lower Oil Prices

Bitcoin's price has been on a tear this year, and it shows no signs of slowing down. According to recent data, the BTC/USD pair has reached its highest level since January, with a peak of 87,310. This represents a 50% increase from its lowest point this year.

The strong demand for Bitcoin is being driven by both retail and institutional investors. In fact, spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen over $1 billion in inflows this week alone, and over $5 billion in the last three months. BlackRock's IBIT has over $68 billion in assets, making it one of the largest holders of Bitcoin.

The futures market is also seeing a surge in interest, with 24-hour open interest jumping to over $61.2 billion. This trend is being driven by lower oil prices, which have dropped due to predictions that the US and Iran may reach a deal. Lower oil prices mean that the Federal Reserve may decide not to hike interest rates again this year.

From a technical analysis perspective, Bitcoin's price has been rising steadily over the past few months. It recently crossed above the important resistance level of 82,135, its highest point in May this year. The Ichimoku cloud indicator is also bullish, and the Relative Strength Index (RSI) continues to rise.

According to Crispus Nyaga, a Technical Analyst at DailyForex, the pair will likely continue rising as bulls target the key resistance level of 91,000. A drop below the support level of 82,135 would invalidate the bearish outlook.
