Bitcoin Roars Back Above $80K as Rate Hikes Fail to Deter Bulls
Bitcoin has made an 8.10% price hike since hitting its low of $75,064 on Wednesday, following the Federal Reserve's decision to raise interest rates by 25 bps.
This rally suggests that the market's pullback from $82K earlier in September was due to pricing in a rate hike. Bitcoin has proven unfazed by bearish developments, including a potential series of rate hikes and rising U.S Dollar Index.
The price increase has driven Bitcoin above its yearly moving average for the first time since November 2025, indicating bullish underlying conditions.
CryptoQuant data shows that long-term holder supply has been steadily trending higher since February, while short-term holder supply has declined. This could be a sign of stronger hands accumulating and weaker hands being shaken out of the market.
