Bitcoin Roars Back from Spring Lows with Strongest Q3 Since 2021

Bitcoin's third quarter has been its strongest since 2021, with a nearly 11% gain according to quarterly return data tracked by Coinglass.

The asset fell to its lowest level in 2026 during a brutal stretch in the spring, when it dropped more than 19% in a single week and over 26% across 30 days.

From that low, bitcoin has clawed back meaningfully, with much of the strength coming in July alone as the asset gained about 9.8% for the month, its best single 30-day stretch in roughly a year.

The rally was driven more by short covering and thinner spot demand than from institutional allocation, unlike prior rebounds fueled by heavy ETF inflows.
