Bitcoin Rockets Past $85k as ETF Investors Flock Back
The Bitcoin price has surged above $85,000 for the first time since its recent rally began. The cryptocurrency's value increased by 5.58% from Sunday's close to reach a high of $86,696 on Monday.
This jump comes as investors in US spot Bitcoin ETFs have been buying up the asset, with a total of $433 million invested on Friday alone. However, despite this influx of capital, the full week saw only marginal net inflows, amounting to just $6.1 million.
The recovery in demand follows last Thursday's SEC move to ease restrictions on qualifying tokenised-stock trading, which has helped lift confidence across digital assets. This development is seen as significant for Bitcoin, as it reflects broader regulatory sentiment and could potentially pave the way for further growth.
