Bitcoin Seeks Best September on Record with 7.33% Gain

Bitcoin's September performance is on track to be its best in history, according to Coinglass price tracker data. With a 7.33% gain so far this month, it narrowly edges out last year's 7.29% return.

The red September curse, which saw the cryptocurrency close in the red for eight of the past 13 years, including six consecutive years from 2017 to 2022, may be coming to an end. This year would mark a fourth straight green September, the longest streak on record.

Average returns for Bitcoin in September are -2.34%, the worst of any month since 2013. However, this year's gain follows previous positive months, including a 3.91% increase in 2023 and a 5.16% rise in 2025.
