Bitcoin Seeks to Disrupt $4T Private Equity Industry with Permanent Capital

Nico Lechuga, a founding partner at Ego Death Capital and co-founder of ORANGE JUICE, believes Bitcoin has the potential to revolutionize the private equity industry. He argues that traditional private equity's fund model is flawed, with funds typically running seven to ten years and businesses being flipped in three to five years.

Lechuga suggests that permanent capital and a Bitcoin treasury could provide owner-operators with an alternative. A Bitcoin treasury would allow for free cash flow allocation, reduce reliance on debt, support roll-ups and acquisition currency, and potentially accelerate crypto adoption among private companies.

The traditional fund model is a major hindrance to innovation, Lechuga says. Owner-operators are forced to constantly monitor the clock and make decisions based on it, rather than focusing on long-term growth and success.
