Bitcoin Sees $3.8 Billion in ETF Investments Amid Uncertainty Over Crypto Legislation
After a strong August for Bitcoin, $3.8 billion flowed into the spot Bitcoin ETFs in its best three-week stretch of the year.
This influx of money is not surprising given that Bitcoin has historically performed well in the final months of the year, and investor sentiment remains bullish with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index at 63.
However, a bear-case scenario suggests that any bounce might be limited due to uncertainty over the passage of key crypto legislation, the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which could make it easier for institutions to buy, hold, and trade digital assets like Bitcoin.
If this legislation does not pass in its current form, Bitcoin's price may sink lower, with prediction markets giving a 15% chance of it ending the year below $60,000.
