Bitcoin Sees October Bottom as Rebound Opportunity
Bitcoin's market participants are eagerly awaiting the potential formation of a bottom in October. According to Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten, the cryptocurrency could fall as low as $53,000 but then rebound quickly to around $130,000 ahead of the 2028 halving.
Klippsten believes that past Bitcoin bull markets have consistently shown a pattern where the bottom emerges roughly 12 months after the cycle peak. However, he cautioned that with only a handful of precedents, one should be cautious about making definitive predictions based on just a few historical instances.
Market analyst Rekt Fencer also points to an October bottom, citing Bitcoin's historical cycle patterns. Based on the analysis, the next bottom would arrive around October 5, 2026, with the bull market lasting approximately 1,064 days followed by a bear market of roughly 364 days.
Another analyst, Ali Martinez, offered a similar outlook, calculating that applying the same duration to the October 2025 all-time high would put the bottom between October 4 and October 17, 2026. However, some caution against over-reliance on these calendar patterns due to the changing macroeconomic conditions.
Klippsten also expressed a bearish view on altcoins beyond Bitcoin, stating that they are 'basically dead' as monetary competitors. He believes that the best path forward for crypto and decentralized finance (DeFi) is becoming part of traditional finance (TradFi).
