Bitcoin Shifts Towards Smaller Value Transactions
The Bitcoin network is shifting towards smaller value transactions, and this trend aligns with Satoshi Nakamoto's original vision for the cryptocurrency. In his concept, Bitcoin was meant to be a daily use currency, not just a store of value.
CryptoQuant founder Ki Young Ju has noticed this shift in transaction patterns. He focused on analyzing peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions that could be classified as smaller value payments.
According to data from the past three years, the median transaction fees for Bitcoin and Ethereum have shown a surprising trend. From 2021 onwards, Bitcoin's average transaction fees have been lower than those of Ethereum, contrary to popular belief.
