Bitcoin's price slipped to the $63,000 area as South Korea's Kospi index plummeted 11% and a vote on the US CLARITY Act was delayed. The decline in Bitcoin followed a similar trend for other major cryptocurrencies, with Ether dropping to $1,880 after failing to break above $2,000.

The futures sell ratio rose to 51.5%, indicating an increase in bearish bets in derivatives markets. Additionally, funding rates for Ether, Solana, and XRP turned negative, but 30-day implied volatility for Bitcoin and Ether remained near recent lows, suggesting the market is not reflecting extreme stress.

The delay in the CLARITY Act vote has added uncertainty to the crypto market, as it was expected to provide clarity on regulatory frameworks. The bill's prospects of passing this year grew more uncertain after the US Senate decided to prioritize a Russia sanctions bill and confirmation votes for federal government nominees.
