Bitcoin Slips from Eight-Month High as Rally Falters
Bitcoin retreated from its eight-month high after a 13% surge in four days. The cryptocurrency reached $87,381 in US trading but eased to around $85,500 in early Singapore trading.
The rally has been supported by broader risk-asset gains and crypto ETF inflows, but headwinds remain, including elevated Treasury yields and oil prices at over $100 a barrel.
'The rapid move back through $80,000 has traders believing the bear phase is over,' said Rich Rosenblum, co-founder of GSR. 'Momentum is bringing sidelined capital back in, so the path of least resistance is higher.'
