Bitcoin Soars 47% in Q3 as Institutional Investors Pour In
Bitcoin surged more than 47% in Q3, its strongest quarterly rally since President Donald Trump's re-election. CEO Mike Belshe of digital asset custodian BitGo emphasized that Wall Street financial firms' digital asset investments have become an irreversible trend.
Belshe pointed out that major players like BlackRock and Fidelity have been investing for years, with no signs of scaling back. He believes the market has passed a key inflection point.
Actual figures confirm institutional capital inflows. Strategy, a Bitcoin-holding company, purchased an additional 1,665 Bitcoins last month. Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded net inflows of approximately $3.1 billion over nine consecutive trading days.
The Bitfinex analyst team interprets declining open interest as a signal that buyers must come from the spot market to push prices higher. They note that while leverage is reduced, it does not create new demand needed for price gains.
