Bitcoin Soars Above $84,000 as Coinbase CEO Sees $300,000 Target
Bitcoin reached its highest price in seven months, surpassing $84,000 on Monday. According to Coinbase Global Inc. CEO Brian Armstrong, this could be just a temporary milestone before Bitcoin reaches an even higher target.
In an interview with Scott Melker, Armstrong pointed out that the recent drop to $60,000 may have marked the bottom of the latest cycle. He mentioned that rallies around halving events in Bitcoin's history have typically been followed by downturns lasting roughly a year.
Armstrong expressed his hope for Bitcoin to reach $300,000 to $400,000 by 2030. However, he also emphasized that growth in the crypto space will not wait for Congress or regulatory clarity, citing existing authority held by agencies like the SEC and CFTC.
