Bitcoin Soars Above $87k as $100K Target Beckons
Bitcoin's price surge has propelled it to an eight-month high above $87,000, and analysts predict it may reach $100,000. The cryptocurrency has gained at least $10,000 over the past week, with spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) accumulating over $1.6 billion in net inflows within a 72-hour window.
This buying pressure from regulated institutional vehicles in the US and sustained whale activity have kept large-scale investors active, with no signs of immediate profit-taking. According to market analyst Ali Martinez, this behavior suggests a low inclination toward short-term gains.
While some analysts, like Gerla, caution against chasing prices at current levels, technical readings suggest that the six-figure threshold remains within reach as long as buy-side volume holds steady. Historically, Bitcoin has not traded above $100,000 since November 2025, and the market now awaits upcoming weekly candle closes and net inflow tallies reported by ETF custodians.
