Bitcoin Soars to New High Amid Crude Price Plunge
Bitcoin's price surged to its highest level since January 29, reaching $86,355 on Coinbase. This increase started in the early morning hours UTC and continued through the US market open.
The sudden jump in Bitcoin's value coincided with a decline in crude oil prices, with West Texas Intermediate falling by 8.1%. The Nasdaq Composite, however, rose by 1.6%.
Perpetual funding rates for Bitcoin and ether swaps are near zero, indicating minimal market stress. Among the 125 largest non-stablecoin tokens, 106 are currently trading higher.
