Bitcoin Spot ETFs See $89.9 Million Outflow Ending Brief Inflow Streak
Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a net outflow of $89.9 million, ending a brief two-day streak of inflows. This shift occurred as Bitcoin's price dipped below $86,000, prompting investors to adopt a more defensive stance. The outflow follows a period of significant inflows totaling $293.0 million over the prior two trading sessions in October, with total trading volume reaching $2.18 billion during that time.
As of the latest data, Bitcoin was trading around $85,559, marking a 32% decline from its all-time high of $126,080 recorded in October 2025. With the first anniversary of that peak approaching, the sustained gap from the high is weighing heavily on market sentiment. Cumulative net inflows into Bitcoin spot ETFs have also declined, slipping 5.8% from $61.3 billion to $57.7 billion, reflecting ongoing price corrections.
Ethereum spot ETFs continued to struggle, posting net outflows of $51.0 million, extending a streak of withdrawals to five consecutive sessions. Cumulative outflows over this period amounted to $206.0 million, with net inflows standing at $13.8 billion. Meanwhile, altcoin ETFs showed mixed results, with Solana and Zcash spot ETFs recording net outflows of $9.3 million and $3.6 million, respectively, while XRP spot ETFs remained flat.
The latest market movements highlight a growing correlation between Bitcoin's price correction and ETF flows. After drawing funds in early October, Bitcoin spot ETFs flipped to net outflows as the price dropped below $86,000. Ethereum spot ETFs are also extending a longer outflow streak, indicating broader risk-off tendencies across major cryptocurrency ETFs. The focus now shifts to whether Bitcoin can recover and narrow the gap with its all-time high, and if ETF flows will revert to net inflows.
