Bitcoin Spot ETFs See Record Inflows Amid Price Surge
Bitcoin's price surge has brought in nearly $1 billion in inflows for spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) listed in the U.S. on Monday, marking the ninth-largest inflow since these funds began trading in January 2024.
The net inflow of $998.95 million was led by BlackRock's IBIT, which pulled in $381.37 million, followed by Ark's ARKB at $289.12 million and Fidelity's FBTC at $238.84 million.
This influx comes just days after Bitcoin absorbed a one-two punch from a failed Senate cloture vote on the Clarity Act and a Fed interest-rate increase, showing that institutions remain confident in the cryptocurrency despite macroeconomic tensions.
Bitcoin's price has surged 44% to $85,000 this quarter, outperforming every other major asset, including gold. However, spot ETFs are still down $450 million on a year-to-date basis.
