The U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw significant inflows in early August, attracting $853.54 million in net flows during the week ending August 7. This marked their strongest weekly performance since mid-April.

BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), in particular, accounted for the bulk of the activity, with over $693 million flowing into it. IBIT is one of the largest and most actively traded Bitcoin investment products, aiming to reflect the performance of Bitcoin before expenses.

The fund attracted around 81% of the total fresh capital entering the spot Bitcoin ETF category during this period. Other issuers like Fidelity's FBTC and Ark Invest and 21Shares' ARKB also contributed, although with significantly lower amounts.

Notably, this surge in inflows occurred at a time when the Bitcoin market was showing signs of stability, despite negative headlines and rising government bond yields. The price of BTC remained steady around $64,000 early in the week before increasing to approximately $65,141 by the end of it.
