Bitcoin Spot ETFs Turn Year-End Net Flows Green Amid Concerning Signs for Ethereum
Bitcoin spot ETFs have finally turned their year-end net flows green, but there's a catch. The funds attracted $2.4 billion in net inflows during the last full week of September, marking their best five-day trading performance in nearly a year.
This was after a difficult period for the funds when they bled out heavily, with $2.43 billion leaving in May and a whopping net withdrawal of $4.5 billion in June.
Despite this, the spot Bitcoin ETFs managed to flip their YTD numbers green, thanks to recent inflows. The past four weeks have been quite interesting, with varying amounts entering or leaving the funds.
In contrast, Ethereum spot ETFs ended the previous week in the red for the second time out of the last three. They started the business week on a positive note with $17.10 million in net inflows on Monday but quickly faded as withdrawals took charge. The week ended with net outflows of approximately $114 million.
The cumulative total net inflows for Ethereum spot ETFs have declined slightly from their recent local peak of $13.94 billion to $13.80 billion.
