Bitcoin Sprints Ahead as Fund Inflows Soar, But Is It Too Late to Invest?
Crypto funds have seen significant inflows in recent weeks, with $3.55 billion pouring in over just one week, primarily driven by Bitcoin's price increase of 33.4% over the last 90 days.
However, despite these gains, most major cryptocurrencies still trade below their values from a year ago, raising questions about whether it's too late to invest in crypto in October 2026.
The strong quarterly performance of some assets may indicate that buyers are late to the party or suggest that the market is still on the mend. For example, Zcash has risen by an impressive 208.7% over the past 90 days and a staggering 1,077.3% year-over-year.
Citi's recent price targets for Bitcoin and Ethereum may be overly optimistic, as they were set after the recent rally. Additionally, with the current 10-year Treasury yield at 5.17%, investors holding the note to maturity will earn a guaranteed return, while crypto assets offer no interest and come with market volatility.
