Bitcoin Stalls Ahead of Warsh's Hawkish Jackson Hole Speech
Bitcoin's price is up by 0.31% to $79,699 as traders anticipate a hawkish tone from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole Symposium.
The slight gains come ahead of Warsh's keynote address, with analysts expecting the US dollar to gain in value following his speech.
According to analyst Walter Bloomberg, 57% of dollar options flows this week suggest investors are betting on a stronger dollar, up from 43% last week.
This positioning coincides with an increase in the value of the dollar index (DXY) from 98.56 on August 21 to 99.19 at the time of writing.
Warsh's speech will likely influence the odds of a Fed rate hike, which currently stand at 57% in prediction markets for 2026.
