Bitcoin Stalls at $83K Ahead of Pivotal Q3 Close
Bitcoin is holding steady above $83,000 as traders closely watch key support levels for signs of a potential breakout. According to Coinglass data, 75,142 traders were liquidated in the past 24 hours, resulting in losses totaling $269.57 million.
In contrast, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $66.2 million on Tuesday, while Ethereum-based spot ETFs experienced a much smaller influx of $2.8 million. This indicates that investors are cautiously optimistic about the future performance of these assets.
Among the top gainers in the past 24 hours were Quant, Stacks, and NEAR Protocol, but it's worth noting that Bitcoin's price action is being closely monitored by traders as a potential indicator of market direction. As Batman explained, Bitcoin has broken out of its four-hour downtrend, putting $90,000+ back into play if the breakout holds.
However, not all analysts are optimistic about Bitcoin's prospects. Daan Crypto Trades sees $83,000 as a key line in the sand for Bitcoin, and warns that losing this level could signal a broader risk-off environment, particularly for altcoins.
