Bitcoin Stalls at $83k, But Set for 42% Jump in Q3 Amid Regulatory Cheer
Bitcoin prices have stabilized at around $83k after losing some ground earlier this week. Despite the volatility, the world's largest cryptocurrency is set to add a significant 42% in Q3, its best quarterly performance since the fourth quarter of 2024.
This growth can be attributed to increasing optimism over U.S. regulatory approval, which has largely helped markets look past the failure of the Clarity Act. Additionally, concerns over U.S. fiscal health have driven some investors towards alternative assets like gold and Bitcoin, aiding crypto markets.
However, surging Treasury yields remain a concern for Bitcoin prices. The recent yield surge was tempered by weak economic data and dovish commentary on Tuesday, but they still remained close to multi-year highs. This has put pressure on crypto prices, particularly at the end of the quarter.
