Bitcoin Steadies Near $64K as ETF Inflows Offset Custody Worries
Bitcoin's price has steadied near $64,200, up 0.48% over the past day, according to live CoinMarketCap data. The token has been holding firm after a choppy start to August.
The US spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen $170.1 million in fresh inflows on Monday, ending a prior redemption streak. BlackRock's IBIT led the pack with $111.4 million, followed closely by Fidelity's FBTC at $33.4 million in fresh capital.
Despite the positive ETF flows, custody concerns linger due to a Coldcard firmware flaw that has been linked to over $100 million in stolen Bitcoin this month. Security researchers warn that updating firmware alone does not protect funds already exposed to the flaw.
