Bitcoin Steady as ONDO Surges Amid US Treasury Yield Surge
Bitcoin's price remained steady despite the surge in US Treasury yields to their highest level in nearly two decades. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note reached 5.18%, its highest since July 2007, while the 30-year yield hit 5.46%. This move led to a brief dip in Bitcoin's price below $83,000 before stabilizing around the mid-$84,000s.
The sharp interest-rate-driven swings in crypto sentiment were largely driven by macro headlines. However, among altcoins, ONDO's token stood out, reclaiming the $0.50 area for the first time since December 2025. This move was supported by the launch of BlackRock-backed Ondo Intelligent Portfolios on both Ethereum and BNB Chain.
The new offering allows non-US users to purchase tokenized shares in diversified portfolios via CoW Protocol and CoW DAO. The portfolio tokens track model strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo, including High Income, Diversified Growth, and High Growth. While the launch was tied to demand for regulated-style portfolio access, investors will be watching whether this product-driven momentum can sustain beyond the initial listing effect.
