Bitcoin Stuck at 2026 Yearly Open as Bond Market Takes Center Stage
Bitcoin is struggling to reclaim the 2026 yearly open at $87,570, despite briefly touching $87,000 on some exchanges.
The BTCUSD price has been sandwiched between support at $82,500 and resistance at $86,700, according to Rekt Capital, who sees a decisive move above $86,700 as necessary to open up the path to a higher range with $93,700 as its ceiling.
The bond market is taking center stage this week, with the 10-year note auction and Fed meeting minutes on Wednesday expected to impact markets.
October has historically been a strong month for Bitcoin, with an average upside of 18.7% since 2013, and with the current month-to-date upside at 2.7%, Bitcoin is on track to continue this trend.
