Bitcoin Stuck in Narrow Trading Range Ahead of Crucial CPI Data Release
Bitcoin (BTC) has been stuck in a narrow trading range of $62,000 to $66,000 for over a month. Despite the lack of movement, market participants are looking to Wednesday's Consumer Price Index (CPI) release as a potential trigger for Bitcoin's next directional move.
The current trading corridor has been influenced by ETF demand being offset by selling pressure from mining operations and corporate treasury sales. Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, has liquidated 6,916 BTC valued at over $440 million since June, departing from Saylor's previous commitment against selling Bitcoin holdings.
Trading activity across cryptocurrency markets has fallen to three-year lows, leaving insufficient momentum for meaningful price action. Technical indicators show a weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) buy signal still in play, but the $60,000 price level remains critical support.
