Bitcoin Stuck in Neutral as Key Indicator Plummets
Bitcoin has been holding steady around $84,000, but an indicator that tracks market trends is now flashing neutral signals. The Bitcoin Regime Score, which measures the strength of a bullish or bearish trend, has dropped to +5, with its 'confidence' level plummeting to 22%. This means that the model's signals are mutually offsetting, making it difficult to determine the direction of the market.
According to analyst Alex Adler Jr., further movement above +30 would carry more weight if the score remains positive and the model's signals become more consistent. A drop below -30, on the other hand, would indicate a bearish dominance.
Bloomberg strategist Mike McGlone has expressed concerns that the $60,000 area may have become the definitive cycle low for Bitcoin this year. He noted that after Bitcoin broke through $100,000 in January 2025, it showed signs of a high-price cure scenario similar to crude oil's first move above $100 a barrel in 2008.
