Bitcoin's recent price surge has lifted Strategy Inc.'s (NASDAQ: MSTR) paper profit to $2.98 billion, but dilution remains a concern for investors. At its peak on Friday, Bitcoin reached $79,455, marking a 23%-25% gain over the past five sessions.

Strategy's average acquisition price of $75,385 is now 4.7% below the current market value of $78,933.88 per Bitcoin. The company has sold approximately $2.01 billion in common shares since August 17, representing about 4.8% of its total outstanding shares.

Strategy's primary objective is to increase Bitcoin Per Share (BPS) for its common shareholders, but issuing new shares without acquiring more Bitcoins has the opposite effect. The additional shares have decreased BPS by around 4.8%, at least in the short term.

Naeem Aslam of Zaye Capital Markets attributes Bitcoin's rally to macro liquidity, diminished regulatory threats, and short covering. He notes that sustaining momentum above $77,000 is crucial for maintaining the current price level.
